Another long day...
10:30 pm....just finished the Saturday shift at Prospect Park's farmer's market.
My day began at 6 am and was non-stop juicin' and rockin' good tunes.
It's amazing how much love we get in Park Slope. Thanks to all the wonderful
people who come out to get juice week after week! We LOVE YOU!
and even now, 3 years later, we still get a TON of people just stopping to
watch and pondering how we are fresh squeezing juice out on the streets
in a truck. When they watch for about 3 minutes, they get the gist of the process
and realize that street juicin' is HARD WORK! And they appreciate the quality and the taste just a little bit more... oh and YES, it's good for you!
there is a small band of young skater kids who keep coming to yell things in
the window of the truck.. . like " yeah right, Juice"..... or "Nice $5 Lemonade!"
they are rebelling against a system and so am I, so I like them even though they
are heckling my business... it's all part of the scene. Mom's with baby strollers,
people toting there canvas bags full of fresh greens, the Blue Moon Fish people (who ROCK!), the amazing xylophone player across the park, grandma's, bikers, runners, tourists.... it's all pretty wonderful.
love a good market place.
We'll be at the TV on the Radio show at the Prospect Park Bandshell this coming Tuesday and see you out there at the Farmer's Market next Saturday.
